America and Russia~

"No, school is alright... I just don't like waking up early. And I don't really have any good classes this semester."

"Yeah, damn, Mattie is a zombie in the morning!" Alfred grinned, quickly regaining his usual enthusiastic bravado. "You should see him, it's kind of hilarious."

Matthew huffed. "Fuck you, Al. Not everybody has limitless amounts of energy."

Ivan giggled, watching the two brothers quarrel. He thought it was sort of cute and endearing, and it reminded him of the little squabbles he and Natalia would get in. "Ah, Matvey is not a morning person? That is a shame. I love mornings!"

Matthew raised an eyebrow. "Well then, you have the perfect roommate."

"Haha, you're right! I am the perfect roommate!" Alfred puffed out his chest, grinning widely.

"Da, I suppose I do!" Ivan smiled at Mattie, then glanced over at Alfred, noticing that his tummy was exposed and wide open with he pose. He couldn't turn down such an opportune moment, so he reached his hand over and tickled his belly button. "However, I do get really tired at night, so I hope Fredka isn't a night owl, too!"

Alfred squeaked (in a very manly way, of course) as Ivan suddenly tickled him, jerking away from the touch. Which resulted in him toppling backwards in his chair onto the floor.

Matthew stared for a moment before he suddenly burst out laughing.

Ivan blinked, not exactly sure what just happened. He simply stared at Alfred sprawled on the flor for a few second before his brain finally kicked in and he shot out of his chair. "A-Ahh! Fredka! I am so sorry, here! Let me help you!" Ivan immediately stooped down and wrapped his arms around Alfred's back and torso, lifting him into a sitting position. "A-Are you okay? I am so sorry!"

Alfred pouted slightly, mostly because of Matthew's amusement at his near death, and allowed Ivan to help him up. "I-it's fine. I'm fine..."

Of course, Matthew was still laughing hysterically. Alfred huffed at him. "I-it's not funny! I could've died!" Then he remembered Ivan and quickly amended, "I-I mean, no, I couldn't have, it's fine!"

Of course Ivan freaked out a little bit. Sure, Alfred wouldn't have died, but he could have seriously injured himself and…oh god. Ivan was mentally kicking himself. How could he be so stupid?! He made the biggest mistake a med student could make; moving and injured patient around without checking for injuries first.

"Fredka, hold still please!" Ivan cursed himself for his mistake and he immediate began runnin his fingers through Alfred's hair, checking for any cuts or swelling.

Alfred stilled, blinking as Ivan began stroking his hair, then flushed bright red. "W-what are you doing?"

Matthew, who had finally begun to calm down, took one look at Alfred's face and started laughing again.

"I am making sure you are not having any injuries!" Next came the million question game. "Does your head hurt? Do you have a headache? How is your eyesight? Are your arms numb? What about your legs? Are you feeling nauseous? Is your spine tingling?"

"I-I told you, I'm fine! And Mattie, shut up!"

Matthew wiped his eyes, still grinning with mirth. "Oh, he's fine. He's fallen on his head plenty of times. Explains a lot, doesn't it?"

"Matvey," Ivan started, his expression grim. "this is no laughing matter. Fredka could be seriously injured." Ivan turned his attention back to Alfred, still running his fingers through the golden locks. "Are you sure you are feeling fine, Fredka?"

((BROUHAHA. SKLDJFSLDK))

"I-I'm fine..." Alfred looked away, face still flushed, leaning slightly into Ivan's touch. He could feel butterflies fluttering around in his chest as Ivan's fingers stroked his hair. Fuck, he really was completely screwed, wasn't he?

((shut up autocorrect you're drunk.))

Ivan frowned, but finally pulled his fingers away after finding no bumps or other injuries. "Okay, if you say so…" Ivan hesitantly sat back down, though he immediately grabbed that pencil and stack of paper, quickly jotting down some notes. "You will let me know if you start feeling ill or if you get a headache, da?"

"Y-yeah..." Alfred sank a little after Ivan removed his hand, still not looking at him.

Matthew lightly cleared his throat. "Um... I just remembered, I have some chores I need to do. You two have fun."

((it is a pretty funny word isn't it ;3; ))

"Da, it was nice seeing you Matvey! I wish you good health!" Ivan took his eyes off Alfred for a brief moment to turn toward the screen and smile. "And don't worry, I will make sure Fredka is okay!"

Matthew smiled back. "I'm sure you'll take great care of him. Talk to you some other time, then?" He looked back at Alfred, raising an eyebrow. "Good luck with your injury."

Alfred just pouted more, crossing his arms. "Bye."

"Da, of course." Ivan smiled, though he glanced between the screen and Alfred, a little confused. Matvey said good luck with your injury. Was Alfred actually hurt, and he just couldn't tell? He furrowed his eyebrows together. He did seem a little flushed…Ivan waited until Alfred signed off of Skype before turning his full attention back on him, a hand resting gently aginst the blond's forehead. "…are you sure you are not feeling ill, Fredka? You're warm…"

Alfred flushed a little more at both Ivan's touch and his concern, looking down. "I-I'm fine. It's nothing, really..."

"..." Ivan frowned, sliding his hand down to the blond's cheek. "Fredka, I just want to be sure you are not injured. You could have gotten a concussion, and those aren't 'nothing'..." Ivan sat back, the frown still on his face, as he pulled his hand away. "...You should lay down. I will get you some water. Can you stand?"

"...F-fine." Alfred gave in, not knowing how to get out of this one, and got up, making his way over to his bed and lying down on his back.

Ivan watched the other boy carefully as he went to go lie down, then he himself got up, though he instead disappeared into the small bathroom in their room. He turned on the sink, and grabbed one of the small paper dixie cups, filling it up with cold water, then shut off the tap. He walked back into the room, grabbing his chair with his other hand and going over next to Alfred. He sat sat down, then set the cup on the nightstand. "...Your eyesight is fine?"

"Yeah, I told you... nothing's wrong. I-it's fine, really, I've fallen off of chairs a bunch of times..."

"If you're sure..." Ivan leaned forward in his chair, resting his forearms on his thighs and leaning all his weight into the appendages. "I just don't want to risk anything, so I am apologizing if I seem like I am, er..." he knit his eyebrows together, tilting his chin up and looking at the ceiling as if the words he needed were written there. "...being... hovering."

"...It's alright." Alfred sat up, watching Ivan. "I, uh... th-thanks... for caring, I guess." He looked away, feeling dumb.
